Fall 2015 SOTF Tournament

It's that time again!

UWBC will be hosting the Survivial of the Fittest tournament on Saturday, October 24th, in CIF Gyms 1 & 2. The tournament will run from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Registration is now open, and spots are filling up fast! Registration will close on Tuesday, October 20th at 11:59 pm.

Please note that we will not be accepting any more new members this term. All of the membership spots have been filled.

Guests are still welcome to play at session for a fee of $5. You may sign in as a guest 30 minutes after the start of session, provided that we have not reached the cap for that session.

Selfie Scavenger Hunt!

Don't forget to register for this term's member social: Selfie Scavenger Hunt!

The social will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2015, in SLC 2134/2135.

So how does it work?

You and your team will be provided with a list of clues to find a specific location on campus. You must find that location and take a team selfie with the landmark. Each clue will be worth a certain number of points. The total number of points will then determine the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.
There will be winner prizes for the top three teams. On top of that, there will be hundreds of dollars worth of draw prizes for all participants!

You will be competing in teams of four, but you may only sign up as an individual or as a pair. If you are signing up individually, you must be a Fall 2015 UWBC member. If you are signing up as a pair, at least one person must be a Fall 2015 UWBC member. After registration is closed, confirmation emails will be sent out to the finalized teams.

There is a limit of 10 teams, so don't delay! Registration will close on September 30th.

The event is FREE for Fall 2015 UWBC members (you must bring your membership card), and $5 for non-members.

Fall 2015 Registration and First Session!

Welcome to another school year!

The first session this term will be on Saturday, September 19th.

Due to the high number of participants, you must sign up during our pre-registration days in order to play during our first two sessions (Sat. Sept. 19, and Wed. Sept. 23).

The pre-registration will be on Wednesday, September 16th, and Thursday, September 17th in SLC 1115, from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. If you can't make make either of the pre-registration days, you can always drop by our regulars sessions (in CIF gyms 1/2) to sign up.

Please remember to bring $20 cash and your WatCard to sign up. You can fill out a waiver form at registration, or print one off yourself and bring it with you (found here).

#Selfie Scavenger Hunt

UW Badminton Club presents a member social event inspired by the one and only: selfie stick. 

What
Your team will use clues provided by us to find a specific location on our UW campus. You will take a team selfie with that landmark to prove that you found it. Each clue is worth a certain number of points. Sounds pretty straight forward: more selfies = more points. The final scores will be used to determine the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.

Who
You will participate in a team of four but you will only be allowed to sign up as an individual or a pair. If you sign up as an individual, you must be a UWBC Spring 2015 member. If you sign up as a pair, at least one of you has to be a UWBC Spring 2015 member. 
Confirmation emails will be sent to the finalized teams.

Spring 2015 Registration and First Session

Welcome to the spring term!

Registration for the club will be held on the following dates:

Sunday, May 10th from 7:00 pm to  8:30 pm in the SLC Multipurpose Room.
Wednesday, May 13th from 8:45 pm to 10:45 pm in the CIF Meeting Room.

Please remember to bring your WATCard and $20 to sign up. You should also bring a signed copy of the waiver form (found here), but there will be copies present at registration for you to fill out.

The first session of the term will be on Wednesday, May 13th, from 8:45 pm to 11:20 pm at the CIF.

W15 Member Appreciation Night

We are having our Member Appreciation Night during our last session this term on Wednesday, April 1st. If you come to session before 10:45 your name will be entered into the draw to win prizes. Make sure to bring your W15 Membership Card to have your name entered in the draw.
